Fundraiser

Talisman Theatre will be FIVE years old so we are throwing a wine-n-cheese celebration and fundraiser on Tuesday, October 25, from 5 pm to 7 pm followed by a performance of Coma Unplugged at 8 pm.

Featuring three guest speakers:
SIMON BRAULT, MATTHEW JOCELYN, and
EMMA TIBALDO!!! (See below.)

Zach Fraser (Director Coma Unplugged) will perform the duties of Master of Ceremonies.

Cheese and crudités are free--glasses of wine are $5 to $500. All proceeds go to supporting Montreal's fine actors, designers, and directors.

Place: Conservatoire de Musique et d'Art Dramatique
4750 Henri-Julien (Mont-Royal and Laurier metros)

Time: 25 October from 5 pm to 7 pm followed by a performance of Coma Unplugged at 8 pm.

Admission: Entry is FREE but only by RSVP to party5@talisman-theatre.com by midnight October 24.

Tax receipts: Charitable donation tax receipts for donations of $100 or more will be mailed to you after the event.

Director General of the National Theatre School of Canada, Vice-Chair of Canada Council for the Arts.

Mr. Brault, one of Canada's foremost 'Cultural Crusaders', will speak briefly on the importance of English-language arts for Montreal's culture.

Artistic & General Director of Canadian Stage.

Mr. Jocelyn will talk about his vision of this Bold New Era and the 21st century aesthetic of trans-disciplinary theatre.

Guest of honour: Emma Tibaldo:


Emma Tibaldo

Emma Tibaldo:

Artistic and Executive Director of Playwright's Workshop Montreal.

Emma will give a short eulogy for Montreal actress Catherine Colvey who, sadly, passed away. Catherine starred in Talisman's 2010 production The Flood Thereafter.

ABOUT TALISMAN THEATRE:


Talisman Theatre staged its first performance in 2006 after being founded by two fresh graduates of the National Theatre School of Canada: Lyne Paquette (Set Design) and Emma Tibaldo (Directing). Talisman Theatre has been producing English-language Montreal premières of contemporary Québécois works since 2006.
